So it is set! Tomorrow from 9am-4pm sweet little Sullivan will be having his precious heart in the hands of Dr. Turrentine to reverse his cardiac defect. I have been hesitant to post this in the event that his surgery would yet again be postponed. But I received confirmation from Casey at about 530 tonight that all was go for tomorrow. Please, as always, keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
I also wanted to share that Stephanie got to hold her boy yesterday evening for an entire hour!!! And I believe that both, Steph and Casey, will be able to hold Sully tonight. Just a glimpse of all of the cuddling that is yet to come.
I am sure that it is going to be a long night for Casey and Stephanie and an even longer day tomorrow . . . but I just want to thank you, Lord, for bringing us to this point in Sullivan's recovery. He is so much closer to home than he was only 5 days ago . . . Life is Good . . . God is Good . . . all of YOU are Good.
Follow the link "Surgery" and there is a wonderful 4-5 min video about the surgery - not graphic. It eased many of my worries and thanked God for all of the intelligent and brave humans he placed on this earth.
Humbled,
Aunt Angie
Many prayers being sent little Sully's way today as well as for the wonderful nurses and physicians that will take excellent care of him, and for you, Steph and Casey. I'm sure that you will be holding him again and cuddling very, very soon. Thinking of you today! :)

ReplyDeleteDear Sullivan: Did you know there was another Sullivan, John L., who was the first heavy-weight champion, bare-knuckle boxer? He was tough like you. Keep on fighting......we are cheering and praying for you.
