First I want to thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement and heart felt prayers. I feel the love for this sweet boy and I know Steph and Casey do too. All of our families appreciate your efforts. Although we are wondering how we will make it through to the other side of this uphill battle, your strength and faith are keeping us going . . . thank you.
Sullivan is also fighting his way. He has had a challenging past 24hrs. Upon arrival to the hospital yesterday, Stephanie and Casey learned that Sully now has a symptom called "Pulmonary Hypertension", this requires more medication and does not allow him to be ext-abated, as we had hoped. This also means that Stephanie is still further away from holding her 2nd born. Due to the stress he is under, Stephanie and Casey are only able to lightly touch him and make little noise because he can take very little stimulation.
I am anxiously awaiting word of his status today . . . as of right now I believe the Dr's are looking at Thursday for his open heart surgery. That is not yet confirmed. I posted two links and the "Transposition of . . ." will answer many questions about the defect, prognosis and what Sullivan is looking forward to. I am also working on connecting a link to a calender site where we can sign up for meals. Keep the comments coming, I know Steph and Casey continue to be amazed at how blessed they are to have all of you praying for their sweet Sully. I will also try to post a picture too.
Many thanks,
Aunt Angie

One again, everyone is in our thoughts.
ReplyDeleteTwo nurses where I work said that it's likely Sullivan will be put on Viagra to help with the Pulmonary Hypertension. Who would have thought?
